The client wished to update kitchens and bathrooms, and add a walk in closet in the master bedroom of her existing home. We opted to open up the existing kitchen to create an open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area, with an improved connection to the landscaped back yard. Bathrooms were updated with contemporary fittings and tiles in a modern take on a more traditional bathroom aesthetic. We placed the walk in closet within the existing garage and shifted we shifted the garage out, with a new roof to match existing, to allow for increased ceiling heights and a seamless blend with the character of the existing 1938 house.
